  • Field oversight of complex site assessment and remediation projects with multi-person project teams, primarily in California, Colorado, and Nebraska.
  • Communicate daily with the project team and clients as needed.
  • Prepare technical reports presenting key findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Perform pre-field preparation for on-site projects including development of health and safety documents, coordinating with subcontractors, and obtaining permits.
  • Conduct field work in accordance with planning documents. The field work will consist of but not limited to conducting tailgate health and safety meetings; completing utility clearance for sampling locations; supervising drilling activities; preparing soil boring logs, groundwater monitoring and soil vapor well construction logs; and collecting soil, soil vapor and groundwater samples.  Oversee in situ injection drilling and injection vendors per specifications and document volumes, locations, and sampling requirements and any deviations from the work plan.
  • Perform construction monitoring and generate daily field report.
  • Support environmental and other related site assessment and remediation projects by providing field support, data management, interpretation, and technical assistance.
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control of fieldwork programs and reports/work product deliverables.
  • Assist in the management of multiple projects within scope/budget/schedule expectations and ensure quality standards on project deliverables.
  • Assist with the review and tracking of project related invoices from contractors, other consultants, and equipment vendors.
  • Prepare Health and Safety Plans, identify hazards and prepare required documentation.
  • Reports to Senior Project Manager or Senior Technical Lead.


  • Excellent writing, strategic thinking, and “people” skills.
  • Excellent computer skills especially Microsoft Office including Excel calculations, macros and preparation of innovative and efficient data presentation tables.
  • Ability to present data and understand the results of environmental and remediation projects.
  • Ability to prepare Adobe PDF documents and general graphic presentations.
  • Ability to work on site assessment, remediation, and other related environmental projects. Knowledge and experience applying regulatory and safety requirements.
  • Experience in implementing and managing site assessment and remediation fieldwork programs.
  • Excellent internal and client communication skills to implement and coordinate fieldwork programs.
  • Team player with experience supporting Project Managers and building and leading Support Staff.
  • Knowledge of the local regulatory climate, and proven experience in the completion of site assessment and remediation projects with state and local regulatory oversight, preferably in California.
  • OSHA HAZWOPER 40-Hour certification and 8-hour OSHA Supervisor certification required.
  • Must have a good driving record and valid driver’s license.
  • Prior to employment, this position will require passing a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
  • BS and/or MS in Engineering, Geology, Science, or related discipline.
  • 2-5 years of relevant site investigation and remediation experience, including environmental consulting experience for Department of Defense projects (preferred).
